Following a board resolution passed on 23 February 2026, OK Zimbabwe initiated corporate rescue proceedings under Section 122 of the Insolvency Act, after board chairperson Charles Msipa said suppliers had reduced credit extension and shortened payment terms to one to two weeks, leaving stores short of inventory and causing a steep decline in revenue and cash flow. The company had raised US$20 million via a shareholder-approved rights offer in July 2025, but financial distress deepened regardless. Bulisa Phillimon Mbano of Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants (Zimbabwe) was appointed corporate rescue practitioner; notice was filed with the Master of the High Court and the Registrar of Companies on 24 February 2026.
